Nikau Garden Visit

We learnt heaps about different native plants and how to grow them. We went into the mist house. When we were inside Hugh turned it on and some of us got wet. He showed us the moa effect on a lancewood. It is little the leaves are spiky and when it is bigger the leaves changed colour, were smaller and it has a long trunk with the leaves at the top. This was to stop the moa eating the leaves.

Strike

The drumming was fast and loud.We did a rumble which was when we all striked the drums at the same time. We had to keep in time. One thing we did was Pass the Sound. We did the four beat rhythm. At the end we did Superman. It was fun.

Term 2 Starts

Term 2 has started and we are all loving being on Steps as our spelling learning.
